Respite Care in Wiltshire

We are proud to offer exemplary short-term care at our care home in Wiltshire. Our kind and knowledgeable staff are trained to recognise and respond to a wide range of medical conditions, allowing them to provide specialist care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Accessible by car in just under 15 minutes, Longleat Safari Park is the perfect place to discover various species of animal from around the world including lions, tigers, wolves, koalas, porcupines and sea lions as you travel by road, rail, waterway and foot. Rated 4.5 out of 5 on Trip Advisor, Shearwater Lake Tearooms is situated 1.4 miles from our care home and offers guests a beautiful spot to sit by the water and enjoy coffee and cake or lunch by the water.

Residents of Longbridge Deverill are familiar with their local community, with day trips to local garden centres, the George Inn pub and shops planned regularly.

Wiltshire offers some of the most breathtaking and natural beauty in England. White Horse Hill is the ancient rolling downland, home to an enigmatic chalk hill figure. It is understood to be about around 3,000 years old and is a popular tourist spot all year round. The picturesque moated medieval castle, Nunney Castle is also a wonderful tourist attraction to be enjoyed. This dramatic great castle dates back to the 1370’s, has an interesting tale to tell and is a scheduled monument that is protected to preserve its heritage. For those who enjoy being outdoors, we also recommend exploring Cley Hill; this distinctive landmark is rich in wildlife and archaeology with a tremendous panorama. This beautiful walk is filled with fabulous views, wildlife and history and takes you through woods, farmland and picturesque villages

A favourite family day trip of ours is Longleat House. Home to the 8th Marquess and Marchioness of Bath, Longleat House is a masterpiece of Elizabethan architecture that contains one of the most significant private collections in Britain. Here, visitors can wander through the sweeping corridors and grand rooms is to be transported back in time. This historical stately home is located within walking distance from family favourite holiday destination Centre Parcs. Situated in the beautiful and historic Longleat Estate, Longleat Forest’s rolling hills, valleys and towering trees make for spectacular scenery and striking views. Discover a range of activities, restaurants and accommodation in this expansive, spaced-out village.

One of our particularly favourite locations is Fonthill Estate. Located 13 minutes from Longbridge Deverill by car, this stunning estate offers visitors peaceful walks. North of the house are the woodland walks with azaleas, magnolias, camellias, rhododendrons, sweet chestnuts and tall majestic oaks, and an oak house. South of the house is Deer Park which is generally grazed by sheep today. Beyond the park is Fonthill lake, teeming with wildlife at all times of the year. Just 3 miles north of Longbridge Deverill, residents and visiting loved ones can enjoy visiting Warminster. Warminster lies on the edge of the Cranborne Chase and West Wiltshire Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
