A Visit From ZooLab

Residents at Longbridge Deverill Nursing home recently enjoyed a visit from ZooLab, for a “senses and textures” workshop on a variety of rainforest animals.

Chloe, who led the session was very engaging and interesting with her knowledge and passion for the animals, and some residents were brave enough to touch and hold the animals, which included millipedes, an African python, a tarantula, and a giant African snail.

This extraordinary experience was then the inspiration for one of our sensory art sessions, where we created animal artwork incorporating bright colors and feathers.

The session was very well received by all residents, so much so that we are looking forward to inviting them back for a Christmas-themed visit in December.

Our activities programme strives to bring residents with outings, events, and activities that have a positive impact on both their physical and mental wellbeing, as well as appeal to a variety of tastes and preferences.

We aim to provide variety to our residents, whether that be trips out of the home, experiences they have never participated in, or opportunities to meet new people. It is essential to us that we keep residents engaged and active, and overall ensure they feel as though they are a part of a community.

If you would like to find out more about the care and lifestyle we have to offer here at our nursing home in Warminster, then please dont hesitate to get in touch with our friendly team who are here to help.
