Christmas Activities at Longbridge Deverill

This month we have done so much in preparation for Christmas and have been enjoying the festive season with lots of activities.

Residents have been decorating the Christmas trees dotted around the home and have done a spectacular job at it too. Some residents visited a few of the shops in town to pick up some new Christmas decorations.

We hosted Christmas movie nights with our special usherette. Elf was a firm favourite amongst residents who enjoyed the film on the big screen, where our cinema usherette handed out cinema snacks to complete the occasion. We have more festive films lined up, and anyone is welcome to join so contact the team if you'd like to enjoy a cosy evening with your loved one.

There has also been a trip to the pub with carols sung by people from the local school and a trip to the garden centre which never fails to wow residents with its Christmas displays.

Residents enjoyed a wreath-making session which required a trip to the garden to forage for materials. Resident Jane managed to find some holly as a great addition to the wreaths. There were of course plenty of arts & crafts throughout December, and residents had a go at making snowmen made of paper plates.

If you have any questions about our December activities or for more information on the care services we offer, please do not hesitate to get in touch with a member of the team who will be delighted to assist you.
