February Fun

Residents at Longbridge Deverill had lots of fun throughout February, from exercise sessions to Valentine's Day and a visit from a cute pooch!

We feel it's important to incorporate fun games that enable our residents to carry out a form of exercise whether that's seated or standing. Residents had so much fun taking part in parachute games to music, and also played some ball games, helping to keep residents' bodies fit and flexed!

We had our own Longbridge Deverill Fashion Week in February, making creative collages and colouring. During another arts & crafts session, we had a go at creative decoupage crafts onto planters and glass vases.

Residents had a go at making Valentine's cards for staff, expressing their appreciation for the love and care they receive each and every day. Some couples gave and received Valentine's cards as they expressed their love and devotion to each other.

On Valentine's Day, residents also indulged in a pamper session, with a foot spa, and a nail and hair makeovers.

Throughout the month of February, residents also took part in garden walks and garden club where residents planted bulbs ready to spring and enjoyed seeing and assisting in the progress of their plantings. On the theme of spring, we also hosted a Spring quiz with exciting chats anticipating the onset of springtime.

And of course, everyone enjoyed a visit and cuddles with Doris, a staff member’s beautiful pet dog who loved receiving affection from residents who couldn't help but grin from ear to ear in the presence of Doris.

We can't wait to see what March brings for residents at Longbridge Deverill.
