Platinum Jubilee Celebrations

The team at Longbridge Deverill sure do like to party in style and the Queens Platinum Jubilee provided us with a great opportunity to do just that! The fun started on Thursday 2 June when we were able to open our doors and welcome in family and friends for the first time in 2 years to our Garden Party. 

We were entertained in the morning by the Wiltshire Rural Music Company who were enjoyed from the gardens and terraces.  At lunchtime, we tucked into a fantastic BBQ provided by our resident Chefs. In the mid-afternoon, we enjoyed a Cream Tea with Champagne and strawberries and the day was rounded off with a fantastic karaoke set with favourite songs from the 50s. A raffle was also running on the day which raised £374.50 towards the home's Winter Wonderland Fun. 

It was so much fun to be able to celebrate with our residents, and it was a fantastic opportunity for our residents to get out and socialise with one another. Getting involved in all of the activities we organise here at Longbridge Deverill is something we find to be incredibly important, and we're glad to be able to provide our residents with that outlet.
