Nursing Care FAQs

Care homes and nursing homes can vary in their offering and depends on the individual needs of each resident. At Longbridge Deverill Nursing Home, we can provide a variety of nursing services such as medication management, wound care, help with activities of daily living, and monitoring of chronic conditions such as Cancer and Multiple Sclerosis. Our nursing staff also coordinate care with other healthcare professionals if needed, ensuring that each resident receives the care they need to support their overall health and wellbeing.

It might be time to think about a nursing home for yourself or a loved one if you’re seeing these signs:

  1. Significant weight loss or changes in appetite
  2. More confusion or forgetfulness
  3. Difficulty performing daily tasks like bathing, dressing, or grooming
  4. Recent hospital visits because of falls or accidents
  5. Chronic health conditions like diabetes, heart disease, or dementia worsening
  6. Trouble managing medications or sticking to treatment plans
  7. Need for specialised medical care or equipment, like oxygen therapy or wound care

Both care homes and nursing homes can assess care needs and provide recommendations for the best care. When deciding on a care home, having open conversations with your loved one about their care needs is essential.

At Longbridge Deverill Nursing Home, we are dedicated to our duty of care.
