We are lucky to be nestled within woodlands in the town of Warminster in Wiltshire. Residents get the perfect balance of countryside life and town life as the home provides a tranquil setting yet is just a short drive from Warminster town centre and the surrounding cities of Bath and Salisbury with must-see attractions such as Longleat Safari Park and Old Wardour Castle, as well as a plethora of shops, cafes and pubs.
Stourhead in Warminster is a national trust with 2,500 acres of 18th century landscaped gardens and a beautiful lake surrounded by woodlands. You can explore the main house where visitors can tour the regency library, chippendale furniture and various paintings that have been well preserved for centuries. The Walled Garden at Mells, is a hidden gem, featuring a charming walled rural cottage garden that offers a tranquil setting to walk around or even stop for some lunch. There are also gardening workshops for visitors to take part in.
Bath Electric Boats provides a wonderful day trip out on a private boat tour down the Kennet and Avon Canal with pleasant views at every turn. The world renowned prehistoric monument of Stonehenge is just a 25 minute drive away and one of the most popular tourist attractions in England, with a visitor centre and exhibition space, there’s lots to learn about history of Stonehenge.
